Butterfly Stripe Fabric
For Burghley House, the beauty of the surrounding wild meadows and butterflies were translated into a bespoke design, each petal representing a particular butterfly. The design was printed, flocked and foiled, with embroideries by Lucy Martin inspired by the Burghley House textile archive. Commas, fritillaries, chalk blues, marbled whites, marsh fritillaries are all represented in this design.
Printed on white linen
